Mechanical Engineering Technology: Research Opportunites
At Penn State Behrend, faculty members are expected to be both recognized researchers and excellent teachers.
Faculty members in mechanical engineering technology (MET) contribute to the start-of-the-art in their respective fields, and they regularly publish research findings in nationally recognized conferences and journals. MET faculty work with local, state, and national agencies and industries to propose, fund and execute research projects.
We offer undergraduate students the opportunity to participate in research projects. Our faculty members include undergraduate students in their research projects, and they seek out talented students to work with.
MET students participate in industry-sponsored, senior capstone projects (or formal, independent summer internships) where they apply the concepts and principals of their education to real-world, mechanical engineering problems.
