Political Science majors at Penn State Erie study all fields within the discipline: American politics, comparative politics, international relations, political theory, public administration, public policy, and public law.

The program emphasizes personal attention to individual interests, an internship in government, and, where appropriate, independent study. All students are expected to master effective writing, speaking, and reasoning skills, and conduct upper-level research in public affairs.

New 15-credit certificate offered in Crime, Psychology, and Public Policy

This is excellent for political science majors interested in areas of work relating to law enforcement or intelligence, forensic psychology, and/or prevention and treatment of criminal offenders and juvenile delinquents.
