  • At least 6 credits of courses used to meet the requirements of the major must be at the 400 level.
  • # - For Science Supporting Courses, select 12 credits in category a, b, c, or d below, and 3 additional credits in any one of the categories:

(a) biological sciences (b) earth and mineral sciences (c) mathematical sciences (d) physical sciences

  • * If a student places into the second or third course of a foreign language by placement action, the credit requirement elective may be met with elective courses.
  • GWS, GHA, GQ, GN, GA, GH, and GS are codes used to identify General Education requirements.
  • Two courses (in addition to the Other Cultures course) must also have either a US, IL, or US/IL designation to satisfy the United States/International Cultures requirements.
  • W is the code used to designate courses that satisfy University Writing Across the Curriculum requirements, one “W” course is required.
