Alumni Game--Sunday, October 11
The Penn State Behrend baseball Fall Alumni, Families, and Friends Weekend will be held on Saturday, October 10 and Sunday, October 11, 2009.
The Behrend Lions Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday, October 10, at 12 noon. The event is a cornerstone in the Alumni, Families, and Friends weekend each fall. The four-player 18-hole golf scramble is at Gospel Hill Golf Course one mile from campus. The event includes several competitions and great prizes.
"This weekend is an annual highlight on our baseball calendar," said Head Coach Paul Benim. "It is a very important event. We are always happy to see all the members of the Penn State Behrend baseball family throughout the weekend."
Last year over 100 golfers played in the tournament with another 50 joining the picnic afterwards. "Golf, combined with our Alumni Game the following day really creates a terrific opportunity for our alumni--which are very special to us, to come back and enjoy seeing one another," said Benim.
On Sunday, October 11, the alumni game will begin at 12:00 noon. Batting practice will take place at 11:00 a.m. on the Behrend diamond. Following the game, pizza and soda will be provided.
