Behrend Lions Avenge Loss to Altoona to Stay Atop the AMCC
Penn State Altoona took an early lead going up by six just five
minutes into the first half. The Behrend Lions would go on a 10-2 run
to take a two point lead at 16-14. The blue and white would stretch
the lead to eight off an Adam Kaiser (Erie, PA/Cathedral Prep) three-pointer.
The Behrend Lions used a balanced scoring attack getting points from every
player seeing the court in the first half. Coming off the bench freshman Nick Collela (New Castle/New
Castle) led the way with eight points on 3-of-4 shooting as Behrend led
34-26 at the break. The blue and white had two others in double figures as Kaiser would hit 2-of-5 from behind the arc for 15 points while Seker would end the game with 13 points, five rebounds, and three assists. The blue and white will play the next three of its final four games on the road against AMCC opponents. They will be back on the Junker Center hardwood to close out the season on February 21 against Pitt-Bradford at 8 p.m.
