Men's Tennis Player Henderson Named Behrend Athlete of the Week

State Behrends freshmen tennis player Jon Henderson
(Upper St. Clair/Upper St. Clair)
has been named the ENTERPRISE RENT-A-CAR
athlete of the week for the week of April 14, 2008.
On Sunday, the Penn State
Behrend men's tennis team captured the 2008 AMCC Tournament Championship.
Henderson was able to win titles in both single and doubles play to aid his
team to victory. Jon won in #5 singles play and then teamed up with
fellow freshman Elliot Blackstone (Wexford/Pine-Richland) to take away the
#2 doubles title.
This marks the third AMCC Championship for the blue and white and their
first since 2004. The men finish conference play undefeated for the
2008 season.
The Behrend men (10-7, 6-0) will have one last
competition to
close out the season when they host Bethany College. Matches are
set for Tuesday, April 15 at 4:00 p.m.
