Behrend Volleyball Looks to Defend ECAC South Title
The Penn State Behrend volleyball team was informed Monday that it had been selected as one of the representatives in the ECAC South Tournament. The blue and white's record on the year is 22-10 and has been selected as the four seed in the South bracket. The Behrend Lions are the defending champions entering the tournament after defeating Cabrini a year ago. Behrend posted an
AMCC regular season record of 8-2 and received the two seed in the AMCC
tournament. The blue and white defeated both D'Youville and
Pitt-Bradford before falling to Frostburg State in the championship match. Seniors Brooke Gallentine (Mt.Pleasant/Southmoreland) and Sheila Ogden (Grove City/Grove City) lead a powerful Behrend attack as Gallentine leads the team in assists with 954 at 9.35 assists per game and Ogden leads the squad with 268 kills. Junior Danielle Woods (Pittsburgh/Baldwin) surpassed the 1,000 dig plateau earlier in the season and leads the team with 376 on the season.
