Penn State Behrend Drops Home Opener to Queens

The Behrend Lions found themselves in a tough matchup against the Queens College Knights in the home opener at the Junker Center Pool.  The blue and white dropped the decision by a score of 11-4 and dipped to 0-3 on the year.

Queens jumped out to early lead by scoring three goals in the first period and taking that lead into the second.  It was at the 6:57 mark in the second period when freshman Ali Khan (Lake Zurich/Stevenson) put in a goal of his own to make the score 3-1.  Queens would expand their lead to 8-2 after 2 periods of play and would hold the lead throughout.

Khan would add another goal to go along with senior Robert Westhelle (Norwood/Northern Valley Regional) and freshman Nick Loukides (Fountain Valley/Fountain valley) each adding one apiece.

The Penn State Behrend men's water polo team will travel to visit the Gannon Golden Knights on Friday, September 18.  The contest is set to begin at 7:30 p.m.
