Technology Classrooms

All classrooms are now configured as permanent, networked technology classrooms.  In addition, there are several mobile, networked units (i.e. roll carts).  All systems have Internet access as well as access to the networked software in the Computer Center and the School of Engineering.  In addition, all systems have video projection capability and are located on podiums designed for instructional use.

Technology podiumThe technology classrooms are jointly supported by the Computer Center and the Media and Instructional Support Center (MISC).  If you experience any problem with a technology classroom or a roll cart unit, please report the problem to MISC (at extension 6121).

Each technology classroom has a Windows XP multimedia system equipped with a 1.6 or 2.4 Ghz processor, 512 MB of memory, 20 GB of disk space, and a wireless mouse.  Most of these PCs also have a DVD CD-ROM drive.  (Those without DVD drives have a regular CD-ROM drive.) Some technology classrooms also have a mobile port.  Technology classrooms are located in:
