2009 Guy W. Wilson Award for Excellence in Academic Advising

Instructions for Submission of Nominations

Purpose:  The purpose of this award is to encourage and reward excellence in academic advising by faculty at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College.  The award was first presented in 1982.  Click here for more information about the academic advisor's role.

Eligibility:  Consideration for this award is given to all full-time faculty at Penn State Behrend.  Previous recipients are ineligible for a period of one year.  Last year's winner was Ms. Cathy Mester.

Selection Procedure:  The Undergraduate Studies Committee will select the award recipient from among all nominees.

Instructions:  Nominations must be submitted to the Chancellor's Office by March 20, 2009.  Please use the online nomination form to submit all nominations.

  • Any member of the student body, faculty, alumni, administration, or an officially chartered student organization may nominate someone for the award.

  • A nomination must include the:
