Behrend gave me all the necessary skills for going further in life. Along with providing an excellent education, it gave me the experiences to grow and develop, and provided a wonderful foundation for the future.
Other universities applied to: “I applied to six colleges and got accepted to all – Behrend, Harvard, Duke, Hofstra, Simmons, and Brenau – but when I first saw Behrend, I knew that was the one for me!
“The first time I visited I fell in love with the campus. I had an opportunity to meet a few of the professors and they were so energetic and enthusiastic that they made Behrend feel like home even before I enrolled. Everyone was so nice, and I wanted to be able to have the best college name with the small campus.”
Did Deepti ever sleep? She was Student Government Association vice president, governmental affairs director, an SGA senator, budget committee director, and a member of the SGA elections committee. Deepti also belonged to the Multi-Cultural Council, Asian Student Organization, International Student Organization, was a resident assistant in Senat Hall, volunteered for THON (Penn State’s famous dance marathon fundraiser) and sat on Faculty Council.
The next step: This fall Deepti will begin her master’s degree studies at Johns Hopkins University.
