On-campus Recruiting at Behrend, University Park, and Harrisburg

Penn State Behrend alumni can use the on-line interview management system.  This web-based system offers alumni the opportunity to interview for entry-level, full-time positions with a variety of employers.  Interviews take place during the fall and spring semesters at Penn State Behrend in the Career Development Center, at the Bank of America Career Services Building on Penn State's University Park campus or other campuses as noted on the system.  This is primarily a pre-select system, where employers select candidates from among those who request interviews with them.  In order to participate in the on-campus recruiting system, you must complete the registration form and return it to the Career Development Center with the required fee.  The fee is currently $40.00 per academic year (subject to change).  Once you are registered you will be provided with a user ID and password to access the system, instructions, and an On-Campus Recruiting Calendar.

You must be able to check the weekly job postings, submit resumes, and sign up for interviews (if selected) via the web, AS WELL AS ATTEND ALL SCHEDULED INTERVIEWS IN PERSON at the campus hosting that recruiterFor additional information on procedures, please visit the On-Campus Recruiting page.

CDC Counselor Services

Counselor services are available to alumni at no charge for one calendar year following graduation. After that, your first appointment is free.  Subsequent counselor time is $25.00 per hour. Contact Andrew Watters, 898-6164 for more information.

We encourage you to use the personal services at Penn State Behrend, however you can also utilize the service of University Park Alumni Career Services

CDC Resources

The CDC has resources for the job seeker. Employer directories are available for specific geographic regions as well as for specific industries.  Books, videos, CD ROMs, and reference materials regarding occupations, potential employers, geographic regions, career planning strategies, interviewing, and portfolios are available in the CDC.  The CDC also has a work-station to use the materials in the office.  We also have links to many different career and job sites.

A computer terminal is also available for individual use.

LionLink

LionLink is a professional networking program that links students and alumni with alumni. Alumni who are changing jobs or careers, or who want to advance in their chosen career may register at the Web site.

The Behrend Career Connection: Another Way to Give!

Behrend graduates and friends have been very helpful in encouraging their employers to recruit more Behrend candidates for internship and full-time positions.  We invite you to continue this tradition in any way that may be of interest to you. E-mail recruitbehrend@psu.edu for more information on how you can get involved.
